How it is calculated
A second Working Holiday visa needs 3 months of specified work and a third visa needs 6 months. Home Affairs treats these as at least 88 and 179 calendar days.
In a week where you work the industry's full-time days (usually 5), all 7 days including rest days count. For part-time or casual periods that fall short of full-time, only the days you actually work count, so you need to work proportionately longer.
If periods with different employers overlap, each date counts once. UK passport holders who apply on or after 1 July 2024 do not need specified work.
